Web Changes

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site.  If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

DECEMBER UPDATES:  I have added some new people into groups. I have also assigned many of you to NEW duet partners so you can have a different experience during the second half of the semester. Look for Guild and Festival data sheets and permission slips in the NEWS section.

The STUDIO CALENDAR has moved from NEWS to the LESSON TIMES Module.  I will try and catch all the references to the calendar and make the change, but every time you visit, check this page first!

GROUPS! "the Next Graduates" all the way to "THE        youngsters"

The newest addition is a chat room which is called the CLASSROOM.  In the CLASSROOM we will discuss the current chapter of the book your group is reading,  we will have exchanges about the current semester's topic OR if you want, you could even perform a "dialogue-play" or other presentation in the room to get points for your group!  There will be a password required to enter the CLASSROOM to be certain it will include only Bock Studio members.

I continue to set up the web site, although I have removed the "under construction" icons. The current and previous newsletters are up and time assignments for the last of this year's activities are up.  In addition, in the fall you will have access to the other pages.

Music Quotes

Rachmaninoff's immortalizing totality was his scowl. He was a six-and-a-half-foot-tall scowl...he was an awesome man. - Stravinsky

My outlook is a product of temperament, and so it is Russian music. I have never consciously attempted to write Russian music, or any other kind of music. - Rachmaninoff

"Of all the glorious mysteries that come with the human
condition, the making of music is at once the most elusive yet
the most inviting..."
Norman Cousins
partial quote from jacket sleeve of Tone Deaf and All Thumbs,
by Frank Wilson. (Viking)1986
